Where are we going?
Crate Stacking
Having some fun crate stacking at the high ropes.
Talent Show and Disco
The P6s put on a great talent show this evening. We had a range of talents on show from gymnastics and dancing, singing and acting, to comedy and magic. The judges were very impressed with all the performances. A big well done to all the pupils who took part!
The talent show was followed by an impromptu disco (led by Mr Field 🕺).
There are some very tired looking pupils who’ll be heading to bed very soon! They’ll see you all about 12:30pm tomorrow!
One last Ganaway dinner
Tonight’s menu consisted of chicken burgers and twisted fries followed by ice cream and jelly. Everybody is feeling pretty full right now!
A busy afternoon
Tackling the assault course, following the night line and scaling the high ropes course. The afternoon has been very busy…and a little muddy.
Another fun filled morning!
Everyone has had great a morning and has done really well taking part in all the activities!
They’re now getting ready to attack the assault course or scale the high ropes!
Cheese the day…
I’d tell you the best topping for pizza but it seems too cheesy!
Day 2
After a night during which some pupils had more sleep than others, everyone enjoyed a very tasty fry with a selection of cereals and toast for breakfast!
The pupils are currently taking part in their first activity of Day 2.
Day one is done
The pupils have had an absolute ball on their first day at Ganaway. There were some very tired looking children as they headed off to bed.
They’re looking forward to another fun filled day…and having a fry for breakfast!
Lots of fun on day one
Second activities have been completed. Pupils have landed in the “drop zone”, swooshed along the zip line, been tagged with lasers and scaled then climbing wall. (I’m not sure who had more fun at laser tag, the pupils or Mr Field!)
A dinner of burger and chips, followed by chocolate cake and ice cream was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.
The pupils are enjoying a little free play at the moment before they’ll settle down for a movie night (and some more sweets!)
Mid way on the first day
The pupils have completed their first activity. They have had a blast at laser tag, experienced real highs in wall climbing and soared on the zip line!
A delicious lunch of goujons, fries and beans has been wolfed down and now they’re all ready for their second activity!
Arrived!
The pupils have arrived at Ganaway! They’re quickly dropping their bags to their rooms before the activities commence!
P6 Ganaway Trip
Happy and excited faces as they head to the bus for Ganaway! A huge thank you to the staff who have volunteered to go with them, Mr Field, Mr McConnell, Mrs Hammond, Mrs Clarke, Mrs Heawood, Mrs Thorton and Miss Fox. Have a fabulous time!
Thanks for the memories!
Home Sweet Home
Edinburgh done ✅
We have just finished up in the castle and the Royal Mile. The weather has been brilliant today with the sun splitting the trees.
The castle was very cool - we got to see the daily gun salute at 1pm, the massive Mons Meg and the dungeons!
The souvenir shops and street performers, on the Royal Mile, were a big highlight.
We are now about to head towards the boat and home! See you soon!
Final Day
Breakfast has been had, we are packed up and heading to the Royal Mile!
DAY 4 Edinburgh 2024
Crazy Golf at Volcano Falls
The golf skills were on show this evening at Volcano Falls as the P7s took on the challenge of Skull Falls and Volcano Valley. A big shout out to Jonah, Harry and Liam who each won a free game following a hole in one on the 18th! Well done boys! Everyone had a great time!
This was followed up by our last dinner in the Premier Inn, after which the pupils had to tidy their rooms before a room inspection from some very thorough inspectors. They are all packed and in bed now, ready for their last day in Edinburgh tomorrow. Everyone is looking forward to visiting the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle!
A Brilliant Day at Blair Drummond Safari
The pupils have had an absolute ball today at Blair Drummond. There was lots of excitement as we drove through the lion enclosure (with some great tour guiding info from Fraser!) The birds of prey show was excellent - we learnt lots about hawks, barn owls and sea eagles. The sea lion show was very good and included a sea lion pretending to be a shark! However, the highlight might have been the Helter Skelter Slide which was super fast!
