Gymnastics Glee!

Emmeline and Elsa who are both in P6, were awarded a silver medal for their gymnastics routine at the NI regional gymnastics competition. They were competing with the rest of their squad from Queens gymnastics. Amazing achievement girls! Well done to both of you!

NI Irish Dancing Championship

Charlotte and Clara both enjoyed a day’s dancing at the Northern Ireland Irish Dancing Championship in Belfast. They qualified for this competition after a successful year of placing 1st-3rd in local competitions. Charlotte came third overall with Clara gaining 5th place. This is a fantastic achievement competing against the very best in the country. WELL DONE GIRLS!

Dance,dance,dance!

Clara and Charlotte participated in the Aisling Irish Dance School intra-school competition and came away with a vast amount of placings. Well done girls!

Congratulations Charlotte and Clara!

Charlotte and Clara recently took part in the FDTA Ulster Championships. They Irish danced their way to an overall 4th place for Clara and a 6th place for Charlotte as well as winning duo and trio awards. Well done girls!

Medals for Katie!

A huge well done to P6 pupil Katie who won bronze for her 50m butterfly and gold for the 4x25m medley relay in the Swim Ulster Swim Festival.

Trampolining success


Marcia took part in the Northern Ireland Trampolining Qualifiers and was placed 2nd out of a very strong field. She has now qualified for the National Finals in England. Fantastic achievement! Well done Marcia!

End of season at Holywood RFC

At the final day of training for the season for Holywood Minis Rugby, the children finished with a fun day and presentation of medals to all the teams.

Well done to P4 pupil, Zach receiving his medal from Ulster Rugby player Matty Rea.

P4 teammates Joe, Danny, Caleb, Alex, James, Rory and Ella also received their medals.

WELL DONE EVERYONE, WHAT A GREAT WAY TO FINISH THE SEASON OFF!

Congratualations to P7 pupil, Patrick, who has been selected to represent the Northern Cricket Union U11s in this summer’s training and series of interprovincial matches, as well as a tour to Jersey. All the very best Patrick in the months ahead! (We like your hoodie too!)

Helping others

Huge congratulations to Saoirse, Selena and Penny from P4 who raised £90 for Ukraine by making and selling lemonade at the recent Croft Hill Climb Car Event.
They donated their takings to the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Human Appeal www.dec.org.uk

Thank you girls for being so enterprising and raising money for such a worthy cause.

Hockey success for Harriet!

Harriet plays hockey at CIYMS. At the end of season awards ceremony, she won P1 player of the year!

Beaming about basketball!

Polly (P6) was chosen to play in the Basketball NI finals which took place in Craigavon. She has been playing for Queen’s since September and her team (U12 girls) won the League. CONGRATULATIONS to Polly and her team. We look forward to hearing of her involvement in other basketball tournaments and hopefully more finals too!
