We were delighted to hear that one of our P5 pupils, Alana, competed in the U13 Northern Ireland and Ulster championships and won Gold in the long jump!

CONGRATULATIONS to P6 pupil, Isla, who qualified for the Northern Ireland Championship Finals in trampolining. Isla trains with the Belfast Galaxy Squad.
The finals took place in Newry and Isla came FIRST! in her 2 events. She is now a Northern Ireland Champion! . What a great achievement Isla. Well done Isla.
Well done to P7 pupil Taylor who recently competed in the Scottish dancing finals held in Newtownards at the Pipe Band Championships. Taylor was awarded three firsts in the Lilt, Flora and Special Fling. She also was placed second in the Reel and Swords. As a result of her three first places, she was also awarded a shield. CONGRATULATIONS Taylor, what great achievements , all in one day!
CONGRATULATIONS to P7 pupil Erin won the Under 12 singles at the Ulster Tennis North West Junior Open in Letterkenny.

P6 pupil Jorja was recently competing for Templemore Amateur Swimming Club in the Swim Ulster Development Gala, in Newry. Jorja got a silver medal in the girls 11 and over 200m freestyle. She also achieved a new personal best. Congratulations Jorja !
Congratulations to Charlotte and Clara in P3 for their recent Irish Dancing success at the Belvoir Championships.
Charlotte danced her way to 1st place in her Treble Jig, 2nd in her Rail and 3rd in her Jig while Clara was placed 1st in her Light Double Jig, 4th in her Rail and was also awarded the trophy for Most Promising Young Dancer. Together the girls also placed 1st in their Three Hand and 2nd in their Couples.
Well done again to both girls for all of their success. You’ve made your school proud. Go HPS!

As a Girl Guide at St Mark’s Church, Belfast, Isabella was asked to carry the Union Flag at the head of the Remembrance Day Service Procession (Commemorating the Armistice on its centenary), at St Mark’s Church on Sunday 11th November 2018.
Isabella was commended for doing a great job by the Colonel of 40 (N.I.H) Signal Squadron 32 Signal Regiment, and was thanked and congratulated by Revd. Helene Steed and many attendees.

Congratulations to Daniel in P6. Daniel is a keen runner and has just completed his 50th Park Run earlier this month! His PB ( personal best) time is 28 minutes 15 seconds! Daniel celebrated his 50th Park Run achievement with a well deserved slice of cake!
