Diamond Blue Peter Badge for Maia

We have a very happy girl in P3 girl!  Maia recently received a DIAMOND Blue Peter Badge. This is a special edition to celebrate 60 years of the BBC Programme later this year.

Maia had to apply for the badge but before doing so she had to complete a number of different things including showing how she has inspired others and been helpful. She then put all this information on an application form.

Maia was delighted to receive her special badge in the post! Well done Maia. That's something to treasure!

Georgia & Niamh do it again!

We were delighted to hear that two of our P7 girls were very kind, thinking of others.Georgia and Niamh decided to have their hair cut for The Princess Trust who make wigs for children suffering from hair loss.

It was extra special because it was Georgia’s  third time donating and Niamh's second!

Well done girls, your kind gesture will make others very happy. 👏

Your new hairstyles really suit you both👍

End of season awards

It was great to hear from Sam and Noah that so many of our pupils had a lovely Fun Day at Holywood Rugby Club. This was a perfect end to their rugby season.

Two of the Ulster rugby players came along to present them with their medals. Noah and Sam are proudly showing them in this picture!

Well done!

Keep on running!

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Scott  & Matthew from P4. Both boys have enjoyed success running the Junior Park run in Belfast Victoria Park each week. The 2K run is a free, fun, timed event (not a race!) for all 4-14year olds, 9.30am every Sunday Morning at various locations around Northern Ireland. More info at www.parkrun.com.

Scott and Matthew have been dedicated runners, achieving their Half Marathon, Marathon and Ultra Marathon wristbands. That’s a massive 100 kilometres distance covered.
The photo shows Scott and Matthew holding their orange Ultra Marathon bands with run director Gary Keenan.
The boys have now run an impressive 71 runs (Scott) & 77 runs (Matthew) each.

We would encourage  more HPS pupils to take part. Do ask Scott and Matthew to tell you more about it!  Let's RUN FOR FUN!
