Well done to one of our P1 pupils Archie! Archie plays for Glentoran FC 2013 age group. He is pictured here with a big trophy that his team won. They scored 73 goals to win a Belfast tournament. WELL DONE ARCHIE!

James in contention for BMX title...
Since joining Lisburn BMX Club in May 2017 James has caught the bug and started competing within a month. He has raced in the Irish summer series and the Ulster summer series and went on to come 1st in his category at the Ulster Championships. James has since been nominated for Best Newcomer in Ireland by BMX Ireland at their annual awards event coming up in a few weeks.
What a great achievement James, WELL DONE!

Ben in P3 took part in the UKTC Taekwondo Northern Ireland Championships in Bangor Aurora. He won a silver for sparing in Orange and white belt boys, height division two.

Ella is 'Top of the World' !
During the summer Ella took part in the UDO World Street Dance Championships.Her team, the lil Playaz, scooped 1st place in the Under 14 category. They were up against forty two other teams from all around the world!

CONGRATULATIONS! We were delighted to hear that Nina, Grace and Megan competed as a Trio recently. They represented Queens Gymnastics Club at Belvoir Activity Centre. All their hard work and practising paid off!

Joshua (P3) has been successful in achieving his second belt in jujitsu (white belt). Joshua has been attending jujitsu at Queens Leisure Complex in Holywood for just over a year, and has improved greatly during that time whilst also enjoying his classes every Saturday. Well done Joshua!
Double success for Holywood FC P7 boys
Four of our Boys' Football Team have also had a very successful season with their club outside school. Carter, Ryan R, Matthew and Ryan M are members of Holywood Football Club's 2005 Colts team, who won both the South Belfast Youth League and Cup double! Well done boys, we're very proud of you and hopefully you've a huge trophy cabinet for those cups!!

Ruan represents NI County Down NI select
Holywood Primary’s very own football captain, Ruan, has been selected to play for the U12 NI County Down Select. Ruan and his teammates will be travelling to France on 1st June 2017 to compete in the Tournou International de Football in Dirinon. All at HPS are very proud of his achievement and wish him all the best.
Gymnastic Academy success
It was lovely to see Lily & Eva visit earlier this week. They came to tell me that they both had recently completed the 5 Start Skills Award. Their big smiles certainly give you an idea of how proud they were to receive their certificate too. Well done girls!
Harry & Jacob mascots at NI v Norway World Cup Qualifier!
Congratulation to Harry & Jacob who had the opportunity to be mascots at a NI World Cup Qualifier match against Norway.
It was especially exciting for Harry as he was able to lead the others out onto the pitch with the NI captain Steven Davis!! Jacob his younger brother was also a mascot.
The IFA were superb, treating the boys to a tour of the stadium, dressing rooms and press centre as well as presenting them with an NI kit. The team went on to beat Norway 2- 0 with. A very exciting weekend for everyone with a great result!
NI gymnastic winners!
WELL DONEto Heidi (P7) and past pupil Ruzi who together won gold again this year in a gymnastics competition at the NI NDPS at Salto. This impressive win has qualified them to represent NI in the British Championships.
