A massive congratulations to Isabelle in the Green House whose mascot ‘Barry the Beaver’ was selected as the winning design in our first House competition of the year! Isabelle represented all the school Houses in her design alongside a range of sporting activities. Well done to all the P5-P7 pupils who entered in what was a very tough contest to decide the winner! Run Santa Run!
HPS were feeling festive today in their Christmas hats when they took to the playground to complete the Santa Run with the rest of Northern Ireland for the Daily Mile. As a school we want to continue to celebrate the positive benefits that daily activity can have. Taking part in regular physical activity has lots of benefits for children’s physical health, mental health and wellbeing, and their learning.
Check out some photos of the pupils across P1-P7 in action! We all loved getting outside, getting active and having some festive fun with our friends!
HPS Eco Committee 2022- 2023
Each class from P4-7 have elected their Eco Committee representative. The committee will work closely with Mrs McKeown towards our Eco Schools Green Flag award and will be involved in promoting enviromental initiatives in our school. Pupils who were interested in the role in each class had an opportunity to share why they felt they would be suitable for the post before the class voted. We are really pleased to have the following pupils onboard our committee for this academic year.
P7 - Evan (R12) and Emily (R11)
P6 - Natasha (R13), Ella (R10) and Marnie (R9)
P5 - Kate (R8) and Eden (R7)
P4 - Ella (R6), Lucy (R14) and Euan (R19)
