A massive congratulations to Ella in P7 from the Yellow House whose mascot ‘Miso the Meerkat’ was selected as the HPS School Mascot for the 2024/25 school year. Ella represented all the school Houses in her brilliant design alongside a range of sports. Well done to all the P5-P7 pupils who got involved! We look forward to many more fun House competitions in the school year ahead! :)
Fun Run at Londonderry Park
Lots of pupils from HPS enjoyed the Cross Country at Londonderry Park yesterday. It was a great opportunity to meet and race pupils from other schools. A huge thank you to all the parents who transported the children and well done to all our runners!
Thank you Mrs Crookshanks!
The Board of Governors, staff and pupils wish a happy (early) retirement to our Principal Mrs Crookshanks. She has been a huge part of Holywood Primary School for 34 years and her hard work, commitment and support has created a fantastic place to work and learn!
Thank you Mrs Crookshanks for everything. We will miss you.

Thank you to everyone who slipped into their slippers today and raised money for AGE NI. We were pleased to raise over £370! Thank you to everyone from P1-7 for working hard to cut down their single use wrappers. Let’s keep working together to swap single use items for reusable containers.
Green Flag Success
We are thrilled to have confirmation that we have been successful in being awarded our eighth Eco-Schools Green Flag! The Eco-School’s team were very impressed with the hard work of the Eco Committee and wider school community. A big thank you to all the parents and relatives who have volunteered to help with gardening and the local community groups who have partnered with us including Men’s Shed, the Ulster Conservation Volunteers and Ards and North Down Council. Let’s keep working together for the environment.
