Swimming begins!

Our P4, P5 and P6 boys and girls have begun their first term of swimming. The P4 classes came back to school very proud of themselves that they had managed so well on their very first class visit to the swimming pool and only managed to have one pair of soaked tights in the process!!
Mrs McCartney's class are even happier because they were Week 2 Winners of the PTA Wish List! Well done Room 15!

Harvest Assembly & collection 2016

Our two areas for PDMU in school for September and October are ‘respect’ and ‘sharing’. As part of our Harvest collection this year we would like the children to help share ‘our wealth’ by donating to the following causes to help disadvantaged children living in parts of Africa and the Middle East.

£1 to help provide mosquito nets for children.

Items to be put in shoe boxes.( Lists vary for Year Groups).

Your child will have a chance to help pack the boxes and discuss the importance of giving to others who don’t have as much. Our goal is to fill a minimum of 3 shoeboxes per class, meaning that we will be sending at least 54 boxes from Holywood Primary School! The boxes will be provided by the school.

Please send in any shoe box items and donations for mosquito nets on or before our Harvest Assembly on Thursday 13th October. If everyone could choose a couple of items it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance of your support.
