32 pupils across P5-P7 had a fantastic couple of days competing at the North Down Athletics Competition held at Bangor Sportsplex last week. The HPS athletes represented the school in a range of Track and Field events against schools from across North Down.
Well done to all boys and girls who represented HPS so well in this years competition. Everyone did brilliantly and should be very proud of their efforts and achievements!
On Friday 17 athletes qualified for the FINALS and headed back to Bangor Sportsplex. It was a brilliant day and all the pupils were excited to compete amongst the best primary school athletes across North Down.
The day was a great success with all of the boys and girls representing Holywood shining in their individual and team events in a very competitive field. All of the athletes finishing positions were recorded and points were allocated towards the schools final total to determine a winner for the overall boys and girls teams. There were 5 individual medals won from Holywood and the Girls Team placed an AMAZING 2ND OVERALL and came away with the Davison Trophy! A massive well done to all the competitors from Holywood on what was a fantastic week!
