At the end of last year each class collected ideas of what we could do as an Eco school to promote out topics of Outdoor Learning, Healthy Living and Global Perspectives.
Lots of classes said they wanted to get out more to do the daily mile and P7 Room 11 suggested a Daily Mile Competition. The daily mile is a really important way of encouraging healthy living, it’s really important for both our physical bodies and our minds to get outside regularly and keep active.
From the 22nd to the 26th of November we held this competition with P4-7, each class was challenged to see what distance they could cover in a week and to record their distances on the Daily Mile Leaderboard. We are delighted to say that P4 Room 19 won, they covered 5.5 miles across the week. P5 Room 8 came second and P6 Room 12 came third. Well done to all who took part!
