HPS WIN TOP NI ACTION MS AWARD

We were delighted to be invited to attend the ACTION MS WALK FOR MS 2016 THANK YOU LUNCHEON & AWARDS CEREMONY. It was attended by fifty – five  primary and post primary schools from all over Northern Ireland. Seven of our pupils who raised a significant amount of money for Action MS after our sponsored walk last year were chosen to represent their families and our school at the ceremony. Well done Harry, Izzy, James, Thomas, Lilly, Matthew and Luca.

Mrs Crookshanks and Mrs Wallace accompanied the boys and girls to the event. Mrs Wallace who retired in June, was instrumental in organising many charity events in our school for many years. We did not expect to hear the news we were given when we arrived at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Belfast.

Matthew (P3) was presented with a plaque as he was the runner up top fundraising pupil in NI. Holywood Primary School was named the Eastern Area winners for the most money raised.

We were also named the overall winner of all NI schools as we had  raised the most money for Action MS NI in 2016 !  What an achievement !

WELL DONE TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED RAISE THIS AMAZING AMOUNT OF MONEY.

We all had a great day. We were very proud to represent our school and appreciated that the donations made by the HPS community will support many families who live with MS.
