Final Assembly 2016

Wow! What a Final Assembly. Each year we traditionally have a final assembly on the last day of term. This year was very special. All our P1-P6 children and members of staff congratulated a number of P4, P5 & P6 children who passed their music exams earlier this month. Well done boys and girls.

Mrs Wallace performed her last official duty by presenting certificates to the musicians and also to the boys and girls who achieved 100% attendance for 2015-2016. Fifty five boys and girls received this award this year. Well done!

Mrs Crookshanks thanked a number of Classroom Assistants who are finishing with us this year, Mrs Thornton, Mrs Robinson and Ms Magowan.

A special presentation was made to Mrs Stewart who is leaving HPS after eight years to be Principal of Ligoniel PS. We hope she has much success and we will really miss her.

The final presentation was made to ‘Someone Special’. Mrs Wallace is retiring after 39 years in Holywood Primary School. Mrs Hart and Mrs Eves’ boys and girls sang a wonderful song about Mrs Wallace. There were lots of wonderful memories displayed on the big screen for everyone to enjoy. So many members of staff were visibly moved by the whole occasion.

THANK YOU MRS WALLACE FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE DONE FOR HPS OVER 39 YEARS! YOU WILL BE MISSED. WE WISH YOU A VERY LONG, HAPPY & HEALTHY RETIREMENT.
