Parent Questionnaire - Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I need a password?
We value the genuine opinions and constructive comments from parents and guardians of children at Holywood Primary. Our website can be accessed by anyone, anywhere in the world, so we need to ensure that only you can respond to our questionnaire. By sending the password home to parents we can limit access and ensure our results are accurate.
How do I know the questionnaire is anonymous?
Unless you enter your name or personal details, we have no way of knowing who you are. The majority of the questions simply ask you how much you agree or disagree. Some questions do invite you to provide longer answers but these are optional. If you provide personally identifiable information in these boxes, your questionnaire may be attributable.
We take your security and privacy concerns seriously. We strive to ensure that user data is kept secure, and that we collect only as much personal data as is required to make your experience with our website as efficient and satisfying as possible. We also aim to collect data in the most unobtrusive manner possible. All data is collected and stored securely. For more information about data collection please see our Cookie Policy.
Why is the questionnaire online?
Surveys are great because they allow us to obtain helpful and constructive feedback from parents but collating responses from paper forms is time-consuming and resource-intensive. With an online form, your responses are processed automatically and there is a smaller margin of error. Traditional methods rely on the attentiveness of staff to enter all details correctly, and naturally human error can creep in whenever a person has to perform a repetitive task.
Market researchers have found that participants in online surveys usually provide longer and more detailed answers. Because participants are safe in the anonymous environment of the internet, they are more likely to open up and give a more truthful response.
